Meteozone
Radiation, Air Quality, Weather Monitoring
and Pollutant Source Regions
Shown on these pages are the most current graphic summaries from a real-time Aware Electronics radiation monitor, a particulate monitor by PurpleAir and a Davis Vantage View weather station. All instruments are co-located in a Washington, D.C. suburb. An analysis of the meteorological conditions are performed every six hours using the ADAPT model to determine the potential upwind source regions for the pollutant measurements. The color filled regions represent the source of the air measured by the various sensors for the previous six hour period. The pollutant source and sensor plots are updated four times per day. Click on any of the column titles for more detailed descriptions. Click on any image for an enlarged version of the graphic. Time-series graphics from the last 31 days of monitoring can be displayed by entering the day and cycle to load the graphics for a specific day and end-time or the graphics for the previous month are also available from the monitoring and pollutant source archive pages. Tabulated monitoring data are available from January 2020.
