Introduction - Comparisons of the calculations of long-range transport and diffusion models with measurements on commensurate scales for extensive time periods are essential to establish levels of model uncertainty, to relate model sensistivity to model performance, and to determine the various types of meteorological scenarios for which models perform best and worst.
